Migration/Global Migration is a sensitive issue but also a topic of study. Many universities now offer many courses to study in great detail the various dimensions of migration, local, regional and global.
Tel Aviv University offers MA in Global Migration and Policy designed for students with strong educational backgrounds, professional drive and, preferably, previous professional or activist experience. There is a wide variety of courses available in the United Kingdom. The University College London has an MSc in Global Migration. The programme combines theoretical and policy debates about migration and trained students to work with migrants and asylum seekers in different parts of the world, who aspire to posts in UN, EU, national policy think-tanks, government research and policy departments, NGOs, community-based and grassroots organizations. The University of Kent runs an MA in International Migration. The Queen Mary University London offers MSc in Migration, Culture and Global Health. In the United States, the MA program in International Migration Studies at the City University of New York, The Graduate Center focuses on the subjects like International Migration, Global Immigrant Cities, Research Methods in International Migration, and Migration Policy. In Europe too, there is wide variation in the courses offered. The University of Copenhagen, Denmark offers MA in Advanced Migration Studies. The Aalborg University, Copenhagen runs an M.Sc. Programme in Global Refugee Studies with a strong research component and focuses on refugees and forced migration”. The Africa University offers Master of Science Programme in Migration, Citizenship and Refugee Protection.
