From computer games to mobile applications, the digital world is vast and growing. Even though it is in early stages, it already offers a staggering variety of resources. A formal discipline taught at several universities, it has opened up a new and exciting area of opportunities. Most of the universities have facilities that will help ground students in creativity and practical applications. Many actively help develop visual thinking. Some background in computers and software will be very useful. Many focus on digital media production.
